“It was terrible. Some girls were screaming, running to the school gate. We lost so many students.”

In May 2021, 13-year-old Lameah and her sister survived a senseless attack on their school in Kabul, Afghanistan. Many of their much loved friends and teachers did not. That day, 85 people were killed and over 200 were injured.
