Israel is taking steps to ensure it has sufficient vaccine supply for a fourth round of Covid-19 shots, according to the country’s top health official.
The nation has already administered a third dose to nearly 3 million people, after research found that initial shots weaken five months after inoculation. The U.S. and the U.K. also plan to start offering booster shots later this month.
The director general of Israel’s Health Ministry was asked about the possibility of a fourth round during a radio interview. “We don’t know when it will happen,” Nachman Ash said. “I hope very much that it won’t be within six months, like this time, and that the third dose will last for longer.” Tap the link in our bio for more.
